I have one question relating to colour space and deep colour settings in the oppo bdp-103d? i use a pioneer kuro set and that seemed to like an rgb video level setting on my old oppo bdp-95 and and bdp-93, but due to the new oppo bdp-103d having the darbee processing done in the 4:2:2 color space, would i be better off swapping to 4:2:2 or. Db10x 131030 (bdp-103d, 105d) release notes: resolved a color space issue for the hdmi 1 out in bdp-103d/105d. customers reported that if the resolution was set to source direct and the color space was set to rgb video level, the actual color space sent out was rgb pc level. this issue has been fixed in this firmware.. Any idea if the oppo 103d will show that it is playing an atmos audio track, or is it because it knows i am missing the .2 atmos speakers?? if you spot no difference then you might as well use deep color off, as that's lower bandwidth on the hdmi cable and thus less likely to produce hdmi problems.-----.
I'm using hdmi 1, set to output 1080p/24 using ycbcr 4:4:4 and deep color off (dithered). the dithering in the player is needed for the way i use my display. note: all this really proves is that the individual values up there really are present on the hdmi cable -- i.e., the oppo is not clipping, say, values above 245 to 245..
