Update Local Items Keychain Password Yosemite

For those having issue with keychain asking for "local items" every time after upgrading to mavericks, and not being able to unlock the keychain lock (asks again for the same unknown password) don't even try to repair (it will not work) or reset my default keychain (it will ask for the password).. Q: yosemite mail only uses the local items keychain for storing mail passwords i have upgraded to yosemite from mountain lion and am experiencing the following problem: on mountain lion i created a keychain (newchain1) that was protected by a different password than the login password.. Update: after upgrading from yosemite to high sierra, the local items and login keychain was once again deleted and reset. all of my copied passwords and secure notes in the "sierra" section were retained..

The password of your macos user account might not match the password of your login keychain. either create a new login keychain or update it with your new password. after you or your mac administrator resets the password of your macos user account, your mac might ask you to update your keychain password or enter the password of your login keychain.. I opened my mbp and certainly the system gives the following warning "cloudd wants to use the "local items" keychain" and asks me for my keychain-password. after cancelling this warning, it kept coming back, over and over again. after a forced quit and a system reboot the warning was gone.. Solved: mac keeps asking for keychain “local items” password. if the issue is with your computer or a laptop you should try using reimage plus which can scan the repositories and replace corrupt and missing files. this works in most cases, where the issue is originated due to a system corruption..
